Aker Shares Rise 7% Following Nscale's $45 Billion AI Contract

Aker shares increased 7% after its portfolio company Nscale secured a $45 billion artificial intelligence compute contract. Nscale specializes in sovereign-grade AI infrastructure. This contract win follows Aker's substantial investment in the AI company. Nscale Global Holdings Ltd. announced the close of an oversubscribed USD 1.1 billion Series B funding round on September 25, 2025. Aker participated in this funding round. Other investors, including Norway's Aker ASA and Finland's Nokia, also contributed to Nscale's $1.1 billion raise for AI buildout. British artificial intelligence group Nscale raised this capital. Aker delivered a record first quarter in 2026. The company added NOK 43 billion to its net asset value (NAV) in three months during Q1 2026. This increase was driven by NOK 15 billion from Aker BP and NOK 22 billion from Nscale. Management highlighted Nscale's contribution to Aker's financial performance.
