The Knowledge Hub is written and maintained by the EC Assets Research team: a working compendium of definitions, formulas, and observed market mechanics across alternative assets, options, volatility, fixed income, and systematic strategies.

How we work

• Grounded in primary sources. Each entry is built from primary data, published methodology, and observed market mechanics, not second-hand summaries. Where a figure or formula appears, it is traceable to its source.
• Educational, never advisory. The Knowledge Hub explains concepts. It does not recommend securities, forecast prices, or constitute investment advice. Definitions and worked examples are illustrative.
• Reviewed by the relevant desk. Every entry is reviewed by the EC Assets research desk closest to the topic, so a volatility entry is checked by the volatility desk, a credit entry by the fixed-income desk.
• Regulated footing. EC Assets is registered with the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 1050464). Published material is held to the standards that implies.
