Shares of Alkami Technology fell 5 percent following the release of its third-quarter financial results for the quarter ended September 2026. The digital banking software provider recorded an earnings miss despite reporting a marginal beat on revenue. The downward price movement also follows the conclusion of the company's strategic alternatives review, in which the board of directors chose to keep the business independent rather than pursue a buyout or corporate sale. For the quarter ended September 2026, Alkami delivered an earnings surprise of negative 18.18 percent against consensus estimates. Revenue for the three-month period proved slightly stronger than forecasted, generating a positive surprise of 0.96 percent. Company leadership discussed the quarterly performance and the divergence between top-line expansion and bottom-line figures during the third-quarter 2026 financial results conference call. Despite lagging profit estimates for the quarter, Alkami raised its full-year guidance for 2026 across both revenue and adjusted EBITDA. The company now projects full-year 2026 revenue between $530.5 million and $532 million. Alkami also forecast full-year adjusted EBITDA of $98 million to $99 million for the twelve-month period. Management highlighted artificial intelligence banking momentum and an improving sales outlook as primary drivers behind the raised guidance. The revised full-year expectations emerged after the firm navigated operational challenges and an extended period of ownership uncertainty connected to its corporate evaluation process. The strategic review conclusion served as an additional catalyst for the recent pullback. Alkami has navigated a bruising stretch, with the share price facing sustained downward pressure after the board of directors concluded its review of strategic alternatives and chose to keep the business independent. Standalone operational metrics show that Alkami generates 96 percent of its total top line from subscription revenue, accompanied by an overall revenue growth rate of 30 percent. In addition, the software vendor maintains a net client retention rate of 113 percent across its institutional customer base.
