Amazon Struggles to Restore AWS Bahrain Facility After War Damage

Amazon is unable to restore access to its Amazon Web Services (AWS) facility in Bahrain. The facility sustained damage from war, which has impacted the cloud computing unit's operations. The disruption in Bahrain follows drone activity in the region. AWS is Amazon's cloud computing unit. It is critical for the operation of many well-known websites. Amazon stated that its AWS region in Bahrain has been "disrupted" amid the current conflict in the Middle East. Drone strikes damaged AWS infrastructure in both the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain. Amazon Web Services confirmed on Monday that the ongoing Middle East conflict physically damaged its infrastructure. This damage occurred after drone strikes hit or struck near multiple facilities.
