Apple Reduces iPhone 18 Pro Component Orders Amid Soft Demand
By EC Assets · Published
Apple has reportedly reduced component orders for its iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max models. The company reportedly asked suppliers to cut orders by at least 15% this month. Some reports indicate a reduction of 15% to 20% in October. These cuts follow reports of softer demand and higher prices for the devices. The reported component order cuts have impacted Apple's stock performance. Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) shares declined in US premarket trading on Friday. Shares were down 1.9% in premarket trading. The stock was at $331.22, down 3%, after the report of component order reductions. Apple's decision to cut orders for its iPhone 18 Pro lineup comes as demand reportedly came in below expectations. Higher prices for the iPhone 18 Pro appear to have contributed to lower sales. Nikkei Asia reported that Apple told suppliers to cut orders after price rises cooled demand. Separately, some AT&T cellular consumers who purchased new iPhone 18 Pro Max smartphones experienced issues. A small number of these devices would not make calls or send texts. Apple has stated that these specific iPhone 18 Pro Max phones must be replaced. This article is intended for informational purposes only. It does not constitute investment advice.
