ARC Resources shareholders have approved a $16.4 billion takeover deal by Shell. The vote was held on Tuesday, July 14, 2026. This approval clears a significant hurdle for Shell's acquisition of the Canadian producer. The acquisition proposal received approximately 99.5% shareholder approval. This figure was well above the required 66% threshold. The Canadian Press reported a value of $22 billion for Shell's acquisition proposal.
