Barclays Identifies Preferred European Utilities Ahead of Earnings

By EC Assets · Published

Barclays has outlined its preferred European utilities as the earnings season approaches. The London-based bank previously advised holding onto Big Tech stocks ahead of their earnings reports, specifically favoring companies with strong business models. Separately, Barclays downgraded two European airline stocks. Ryanair and Norwegian Air Shuttle were moved to Equal Weight from Overweight. This change comes as persistently high fuel prices threaten fourth-quarter and 2027 profits across European airlines. European stocks have risen, and the dollar is set for a weekly loss. This follows a drop in yields. This article is intended for informational purposes only. It does not constitute investment advice.
