Binance Takes $100M Stake in Circle, Expands USDC Partnership

Binance has acquired a $100 million stake in Circle. The cryptocurrency exchange also expanded its partnership with the stablecoin issuer. This development follows an existing collaboration between the two crypto companies. Binance purchased an equity stake in Circle. This investment includes roughly 1.24 million shares of Circle stock. The shares were acquired at a 5% discount. The agreement also establishes a five-year deal. Binance will promote USDC on its exchange as part of this deal. Circle Internet Group is the stablecoin issuer involved in this expanded strategic partnership. Binance Holdings Ltd. made the investment. The investment is intended to boost USDC.
