Cerebras Systems Expands European AI Data Center Capacity

Cerebras stock has risen following the company's announcement of plans to expand its data center capacity in Europe. The artificial intelligence chip maker targets bringing its initial European data center capacity online by the end of 2026. This expansion aims to enhance AI infrastructure access for European users. Cerebras Systems plans a rapid build, out across France, Norway, and Finland. The company intends to establish a network of AI data centers across Europe by the end of 2027. This network will have a combined power capacity of 200 MW. The expansion involves a multi, billion dollar investment. Cerebras plans to expand three data centers in France, Finland, and Norway to reach 200 MW of computing capacity by 2027. The goal is to bring high, speed AI inference infrastructure closer to European users. This closer proximity helps deliver faster response times. The European expansion aims to support OpenAI workloads. Andrew Feldman, CEO of Cerebras, indicated that the company is contracting significant capacity for 2027.
