Crypto Stocks Rally Amid Bitcoin and Ethereum Price Surges

Crypto stocks experienced a significant rally as major cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin and Ethereum, saw sharp price increases. This market movement occurred as investors showed renewed interest following the failure of the CLARITY legislation. Bitcoin prices rose above $77,991.09 this morning, with a recorded opening price of $76,350.68 on Friday. Bitcoin opened Friday at $76,350.68, representing a 0.3% increase from its Thursday opening price. By 7:25 a.m. ET, Bitcoin's price had climbed to $77,991.09. Separately, Bitcoin's price also topped $80,500. The broader cryptocurrency market saw prices rise after investors moved past the failure of CLARITY. Cryptocurrencies and crypto stocks also climbed on Monday. This rise followed the inclusion of ethics restrictions on conflicts of interest in Republicans' final draft of legislation. That draft legislation would also grant authority to the Treasury. The CFTC recently sent its crypto rules to the White House. Just two years ago, owning cryptocurrency typically involved setting up a digital wallet, trusting an exchange, and safeguarding a private key.
