Eni CEO Discusses LNG Project with Argentina's Milei

Eni’s chief executive officer met with Argentina’s President Javier Milei to discuss an liquefied natural gas (LNG) project. The Italian energy group confirmed the discussion took place on Friday. The meeting centered on the Argentina LNG project. The U.S. will provide up to $7 billion in loans to support energy, mining, and infrastructure projects in Argentina. This allocation comes as the Trump administration backs Argentina. President Milei seeks to advance artificial intelligence initiatives without extensive regulation. Separately, Cheniere Energy announced its third quarter 2026 earnings release and conference call. The company expanded its LNG portfolio through a 22-year deal with Petrobras. This agreement adds contracted volumes and supports brownfield capacity growth. Cheniere Energy and Petrobras signed a long-term LNG sale and purchase agreement on September 29, 2026. Cheniere Energy Partners owns the Sabine Pass LNG asset. This asset is highly contracted. Joulent, a technology-driven energy company, announced leadership appointments on October 1, 2026. Corey Grindal was named Chief Operating Officer and Co-President. Michael Wortley was appointed Chief Financial Officer and Co-President. Joulent is developing multi-gigawatt power infrastructure.
