Goldman Sachs Adds Amazon to Director's Cut List

Goldman Sachs has added five companies, including Amazon, to its Director's Cut list for October. The firm simultaneously removed five other companies from this list. Goldman Sachs has provided comments regarding Amazon stock investors after a significant deal. The firm has also addressed what it describes as a major misconception regarding the earnings of Google and Amazon. Separately, Goldman Sachs quantifies the annual AI revenue breakeven at $300 billion, against $800 billion in hyperscaler infrastructure spending for 2026. Current AI cloud revenue runs $70 billion above the pre-AI trend, leaving a $230 billion gap. Goldman Sachs states that AI stocks face a growing challenge as hyperscalers increase spending. Investors are waiting to see if this substantial investment will be profitable. Goldman Sachs is expanding its AI initiatives. The firm has opened a dedicated AI engineering office in Bellevue, Washington. This new office deepens its AI push and expands its 12,000-strong engineering team.
