Kodiak Sciences Stock Jumps on Positive AMD Trial Data

By EC Assets · Published

Kodiak Sciences shares surged following positive data from its age-related macular degeneration (AMD) trial. The company's Zenkuda (tarcocimab tedromer) drug showed clinical effects equal to or superior to aflibercept during its loading phase in the DAYBREAK study. Zenkuda also demonstrated a 0% intraocular inflammation rate. Kodiak Sciences recently highlighted it was on schedule to report top-line Phase III DAYBREAK results for Zenkuda and KSI-501. These results pertain to treatment-naive wet age-related macular degeneration. UBS indicated that Kodiak Sciences' upcoming phase III wet AMD data could provide upside. This follows a recent pullback in the stock, amid expectations that tarcocimab and KSI-501 would achieve non-inferiority. Kodiak Sciences Inc. announced topline results from three Phase 3 studies of tarcocimab tedromer on July 24, 2023. This novel antibody biopolymer is being investigated for neovascular age-related macular degeneration and diabetic macular edema. This article is intended for informational purposes only.
