KPMG Australia will halt bidding for new federal government work until the end of September. This decision follows whistleblower allegations against the accounting firm. The Department of Finance confirmed that KPMG Australia will not bid on any government work for three months. All existing contracts between KPMG and the federal government will face scrutiny. Minister for Financial Services Dan Mulino stated that these contracts would be placed under examination. KPMG has agreed not to bid for new commonwealth contracts until September 30.
