Morgan Stanley Comments on Strong Japanese Chemical Firm Earnings

By EC Assets · Published

Morgan Stanley has commented on Japanese chemical firms. These firms posted strong quarterly results. Morgan Stanley expects to record its highest, ever income from Japan. This expectation follows steps by the Bank of Japan to loosen its grip on bond yields. These steps have helped fuel a trading revival in Japan. Morgan Stanley also raised ¥131 billion for a Japan, focused real estate fund. This amount equals $885 million. The firm exceeded its target for the fund. Demand from investors, including Japan's largest pension fund, contributed to this. Takeshi Yamaguchi, chief Japan economist at Morgan Stanley, has discussed the outlook for the Bank of Japan's monetary policy. He also discussed the country's economic data. Morgan Stanley expects Japan's headline wage growth to be close to 4% in 2024. This article is intended for informational purposes only. It does not constitute investment advice.
