Morgan Stanley Reduces China Property Forecasts Amid Deeper Price Declines

Morgan Stanley has revised its China property forecasts downward. The adjustment follows expectations of deeper price drops within the sector. China's economic growth slowed further in July. Retail sales registered minimal growth, and investment slump deepened during the period. The iShares MSCI China ETF MCHI is down about 6%. China's premier has called for stabilizing external demand as growth sputters. Morgan Stanley is becoming more bullish on China stocks, despite a key risk which is not related to tariffs. Morgan Stanley China A Share Fund, Inc. has declared a dividend. The amount of net investment income paid by the Fund is determined under federal income tax regulations.
