Nomura Seeks US Fund Management Acquisitions for Global Growth

Nomura Holdings is targeting acquisitions in U.S. fund management as part of its global expansion strategy. The Japanese financial institution is seeking targets for its initiatives in this sector. Nomura Asset Management International intends to raise its private credit assets under management. This target is set at $5 billion or more, up from approximately $500 million. A managing director at Nomura Holdings previously held a position in financial services. Nomura also secured the top position in advising on mergers and acquisitions in Japan for a record year.
