Nuveen has completed its acquisition of Schroders, forming a new investment group with approximately $2.6 trillion in assets. The U.S. asset manager announced the completion of the takeover on Thursday, October 1, 2026. This transaction brings together two institutions with complementary businesses. The combined entity creates one of the world's leading active asset and wealth managers. Nuveen, an investment company under Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association of America, acted as the offeror. Schroders plc was the offeree in this transaction. Nuveen's newly incorporated subsidiary, Pantheon, LLC, was identified as the offeror on February 12, 2026, at 07:00.
