Poland Regulators Fine Neuca $131 Million for Drug Cartel

The fine, which equates to $131 million, is for the company's participation in a drug pricing cartel. The regulator stated the cartel lasted a decade. Neuca S.A. operates as a key pharmaceutical wholesaler in Poland. It also engages in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals. The company's segments include Pharmaceutical Wholesale and Outpatient Medical Care Clinics. Neuca is the largest pharmaceutical distributor in Poland. The company plans to expand into the private medical clinics sector. This strategy aims to offset decreasing profitability in its core business.
