Safety Group Challenges Tesla FSD Approval in EU Over Speed Offset

A safety group is urging the European Union to reject Tesla's Full Self-Driving (FSD) system. The group cites a speed offset as the basis for its concerns. This push comes as the Dutch regulator seeks EU-wide approval for Tesla's FSD on the company's behalf. Tesla has submitted self-produced FSD safety figures to European regulators. The Dutch regulator is working to secure EU-wide approval for the system. Tesla is rolling out FSD V14.3.9, which includes an Automatic Collision Evasion feature. This new safety trick allows the system to take control to avoid a crash. Automatic Collision Evasion can briefly steer, brake, and accelerate independently to prevent collisions during manual driving. Automatic emergency braking systems have intervened for years when drivers do not react. Tesla's latest FSD update significantly expands on this concept.
