Serica Energy Production Outlook Lowered Amid Triton Delay
By EC Assets · Published
Serica Energy PLC shares fell 4% following a revised 2026 production outlook. The UK-based North Sea oil and gas producer lowered its full-year production forecast due to an extended maintenance shutdown at its Triton floating production vessel. Despite this operational update, Serica Energy maintained its annual cash flow guidance. The company previously faced operational disruptions, leading to investor attention focusing on a production recovery from late 2025 into 2026. Serica Energy reported a 44% year-on-year increase in average production. This figure reached 37,100 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd) for the nine months ended 30 September 2026. The company also reported $905 million in revenue during this period. Operational challenges at the Triton FPSO platform have been ongoing. Serica Energy also implemented a 38% dividend cut. The company's 7.8% dividend yield appears attractive, but some observers remain on the sidelines for a more attractive entry point. Upcoming plans include progress towards a main market listing.
