US Payrolls Decline 23k in July, Unemployment Falls to 4.1%

The United States economy unexpectedly lost 23,000 jobs in July. This decline in payrolls was reported by BofA. The US unemployment rate concurrently dropped to 4.1%. Treasury yields fell following the surprise job loss data in July. The July jobs report contained disappointing figures. Stocks rose after the cooler, than, expected July jobs data. The Nasdaq rallied after the surprise July jobs reading. The Dow, S&P 500, and Nasdaq all rose following the July jobs report. The report surprised to the downside.
