EC Assets at the Henley Royal Regatta With Clients and Partners

Some of the best conversations happen away from the desk.
Last Thursday we spent the day at the Henley Royal Regatta, out on a boat on the Thames, in the company of friends, clients and partners from our broker. The fourth day is the one the Regatta quietly reserves for hospitality, and it earned the reputation. Crews came through the course in eights and fours while the river held its usual mix of striped blazers, Pimm's and the low hum of people enjoying themselves.
There is something about a morning on the water that changes the register of a conversation. No slides. No agenda. Just the racing, the weather holding for once, and the kind of unhurried time that is hard to find in a normal week.
Rowing rewards the things we try to build into our own work. Preparation no one sees. Timing that has to be exact. A crew that moves as one or not at all. Watching it up close is a useful reminder.
At EC Assets, we think relationships deserve the same care as returns. Days like this are not a break from that. They are part of it.
Thank you to everyone who came out on the water, and to our broker's team for making the day what it was. The firm left grateful for the company, and already looking to next summer.
The best partnerships, like the best crews, are the ones that still row together once the race is over.
