EC Assets Hosts Clients and Friends at Monaco Yacht Show 2026

By EC Assets · Published · Updated

Every yacht in Port Hercule last week was built for conditions its owner hopes never to meet.

That is the part of the Monaco Yacht Show most visitors walk past. The show sells design, finish and scale. The engineering underneath is about something else: hulls, stabilisers and redundant systems specified for heavy weather, not for the calm afternoon on the quay.

From 23 to 26 September, more than a hundred superyachts filled the harbour, with shipyards, designers and brokers working the pontoons.

EC Assets welcomed clients and guests in Monaco during the show.

A yacht show is an unusual setting for a fund. It is also a fitting one.

The questions an owner asks a shipyard are close to the ones an allocator should ask a manager. What happens when conditions turn? What has been built for the days nobody plans for? Where does the margin of safety actually sit?

Those questions are rarely answered well on a factsheet. They are answered across a table, in person, with time to follow up.

That time is what the firm values most about events like this one. The backdrop is Monaco. The value is the direct conversation with the people who allocate, advise and challenge.

Admired in the harbour. Built for open water.
