Amazon is raising the minimum hourly pay for its U.S. operations employees. The company announced an increase of $1, bringing the new minimum starting wage to $20 an hour for eligible full-time staff. This pay raise is part of an investment exceeding $1.5 billion. The move applies to full-time core operations employees in the U.S. Amazon also stated that average pay for these employees will reach nearly $24 an hour. The company is introducing new benefits alongside the pay increase. These benefits include a grocery discount and access to additional programs.
