Deutsche Bank Upgrades CrowdStrike to Buy on Projected Artificial Intelligence Demand

By EC Assets · Published

Deutsche Bank raised its investment rating on CrowdStrike to buy from hold, that artificial intelligence adoption will accelerate enterprise security requirements. The bank projected that artificial intelligence will generate a demand tsunami for cybersecurity products. Shares of CrowdStrike climbed 3.4% in premarket trading following the action, ranking the equity among the session's notable early market movers alongside Rivian and Micron. Analyst Brad Zelnick stated that the market is still not fully appreciating the extent to which artificial intelligence will expand demand across the sector. In its commentary, Deutsche Bank asserted that the cybersecurity company is currently firing on all cylinders across its business operations. Alongside the rating shift to buy from hold, Deutsche Bank raised its price target for CrowdStrike equity, trading under the ticker symbol CRWD, to $300. The bank calculated this new price target using a discounted cash flow methodology. The recommendation featured in a series of Monday analyst revisions across major technology and growth names, including Apple, Nvidia, Amazon, Broadcom, Rivian, and SpaceX. Corporate transactions across the broader technology landscape also reflect expanded resource commitments directed at artificial intelligence infrastructure. Marvell reached an agreement to acquire optical component supplier Lumentum in an all-stock transaction, marking a major financial commitment to artificial intelligence connectivity.
