Lockheed Martin to buy Ultra Maritime for $3.45 billion

Lockheed Martin has announced an agreement to acquire Ultra Maritime for $3.45 billion. The naval defense company will be purchased from private equity firm Advent. This acquisition was confirmed by Advent on Monday. The reported deal value for Ultra Maritime is approximately $3.5 billion. Guggenheim and JPMorgan are advising on the sell side of the transaction. Ultra Maritime is owned by Advent International's Cobham Ultra business. Ultra Maritime specializes in anti-submarine sonar and naval products.
