Pirelli to Invest Up to $1.2 Billion in US Capacity Expansion

Pirelli plans to invest up to $1.2 billion to expand its capacity in the United States. This investment comes as 97% of a sample of companies plan investments within the next two years. These investments prioritize the modernization of production. Capital is considered to be performing its function when profits are reinvested into productive capacity, innovation, and employment. BMW completed a $1.7 billion investment in electric vehicle production at its U.S. plants. AWS is investing $1 billion into a new AI unit and plans to embed engineers with customers. Digital Realty acquired a $3.5 billion stake in Blackstone's Virginia data centers. Morgan Stanley notes that Alphabet plans to expand its data center capacity into 2028. The Australia tire market is projected to grow from $3.66 billion in 2025 to $4.83 billion by 2031. This growth represents a 4.73% compound annual growth rate.
