Stellantis names Santo Ficili as Maserati CEO

Stellantis has appointed Santo Ficili as the new Chief Executive Officer of Maserati. This role is in addition to his current position as CEO of the Alfa Romeo brand. Ficili's appointment comes as Maserati continues to develop its product offerings. He confirmed that Maserati will continue to invest in the V6 Nettuno engine. Discussions have also included the possibility of Maserati reintroducing a V8 engine. Maserati's leadership, including Ficili and J.P. Imparato, has made statements on the brand's direction. The company is not planning to sell Maserati to BYD. Ficili has also confirmed intentions to revive limited-edition collaboration projects between Maserati and Alfa Romeo, such as a new super-GT. He has spoken of a balance of elegance that is never ostentatious regarding Maserati's aesthetic. Stellantis also recently launched the Alfa Romeo Junior Elettrica in South Africa. This model, along with others, will feature multiple powertrain options on Stellantis' STLA Large platform. These options include gasoline, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and EV variants.
