EC Assets Hosts First Charity Padel Tournament in Monaco

The matches mattered less than the reason everyone turned up.
EC Assets held its first padel tournament in Monaco this May, and the response went well beyond what we expected. Nineteen teams played through the day, from 11:30 in the morning until six in the evening. Open courts, food and drinks on the house, and a jersey for every participant.
It was, simply, a lot of fun.
The scoreboard, though, was never the point.
For every player who entered, we are donating 100 euros to the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation. For every spectator who came to watch, another 25.
For more than a decade, the Foundation has taught children to swim and worked to prevent drowning, using sport itself as the means. A tournament built on the same spirit, people competing, supporting, and turning up for one another, felt like a fitting way to stand behind that work.
What stayed with us was not the results but the room. Players who pushed each other through long rallies. Spectators who stayed far longer than a single match. The kind of energy you cannot put on a schedule.
To everyone who came, played, watched, and gave their day to this: thank you. The tournament was yours as much as ours.
We plan to bring it back in the autumn, with more courts and, we hope, an even bigger crowd behind the same cause.
Some of the best days have nothing to do with markets. This was one of them.
