EC Assets Joins Monaco's Rugby Seven Tournament on the Riviera
By EC Assets · Published · Updated
On 1 May, the Stade Prince Héréditaire Jacques in Beausoleil hosted the first edition of the Monaco Sevens, a new international rugby tournament organised by the Fédération Monégasque de Rugby and AS Monaco Rugby, with the support of the Fondation Princesse Charlène de Monaco.
Sixteen men's and women's teams from Monaco, Italy, Poland, the UAE and Georgia played twenty-five matches across a single day on the Riviera. The Monegasque national side took the Open Men's title, the first trophy in the federation's history on home soil. Prince Albert II and Princess Charlène were in attendance, with the Princess giving the ceremonial kick-off of the Elite Men's final.
EC Assets was proud to support the Monaco side at the tournament, in keeping with our commitment to the communities and cities where our team spends time. Rugby sevens rewards discipline, speed, and trust between teammates. The values translate well beyond the pitch.
A second edition has already been confirmed for next year. We look forward to seeing the tournament grow.
