Meta Plans Prediction Markets App Arena
By EC Assets · Published
Meta Platforms plans to develop a prediction markets application named Arena. The New York Times reported on this development. Prediction markets allow participants to buy "yes" or "no" contracts on real-world events. These contracts pay out if the outcome materializes; otherwise, they do not. Prediction markets have grown in popularity since election markets received approval from a U.S. federal court in October 2024. Almost anything can become a bet, including matches, court cases, or conflicts. Several prediction market apps are available today. Kalshi, Polymarket, and FanDuel Predicts are among the apps available in June 2026. Other options include Novig and ProphetX. Kalshi's ranking algorithm focuses on real-world sports events. It turns them into dynamic prediction markets designed to reward insight, strategy, and community competition. This article is intended for informational purposes only.
