Wall Street Futures Dip Ahead of Bessent Briefing, Nvidia Earnings

Wall Street futures are under pressure ahead of key events this week. These events include a briefing by U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and upcoming Nvidia earnings. Nvidia's earnings place the artificial intelligence trade back in focus for markets. Treasury Secretary Bessent stated the Federal Reserve's benchmark interest rate should be at least 1.5 percentage points lower than its current level. Bessent also discussed replacing Federal Reserve Chair Jerome. Kevin Warsh heads to Jackson Hole as bond vigilantes stir. His first major policy speech as Federal Reserve chairman is scheduled this week. Nvidia earnings are expected after the bell Wednesday.
