Support of Local Food Banks Marks the Expansion of our Activities
By EC Assets · Published · Updated
Some of the best moments of the week happen far away from any screen.
For our team, one of them took place in Stuttgart, where EC Assets delivered 600 pounds of pasta to Stuttgart's food bank (Tafel Stuttgart).
The food bank is part of Germany's Tafel network, which collects surplus and donated food and shares it with people in the community who need a little extra support. Behind that simple idea stands a remarkable group of volunteers who give their time, week after week, to make sure no good food goes to waste and no one leaves empty-handed.
Pasta felt like the right choice. It keeps well, it is easy to store, and it turns into a warm meal for families, students and neighbours across the city.
But the real highlight was not the delivery.
It was the conversation with the volunteers on site. They welcomed us warmly, showed us how donations are sorted and shelved, and shared stories from their distribution days. Their energy and good humour were infectious, and it was clear how much care goes into every single bag that leaves the building.
We left with full hearts and a clear intention.
This will not be a one-off. The firm plans to return regularly and to support the food bank on an ongoing basis, so that help arrives as something the team can count on.
A shared meal starts with someone who cares enough to fill the shelves. In Stuttgart, those people are easy to find.
