EC Assets Courtside at Monte-Carlo Masters
By EC Assets · Published · Updated
Some of the most important conversations in investing happen where you’d least expect them. Between sets, not slides.
Last week, the EC Assets team was in Monaco for the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters. Clay courts, Mediterranean sun, and Sinner versus Alcaraz in a final that had the entire Country Club on its feet.
But we didn’t go for the tennis alone.
There’s a rhythm to tournament days that mirrors what we value in our work: long stretches of focus, sudden intensity, and the discipline to reset between points. Watching two of the best competitors in the world trade momentum on court is a reminder that consistency beats brilliance when brilliance isn’t sustainable.
Team cohesion doesn’t come from offsites with agendas. It comes from shared experience. The conversation over dinner after a three-set semifinal. The walk along the port when the day’s matches are done. The moments that aren’t scheduled.
In a business built on precision and discipline, stepping outside the routine isn’t a distraction. It’s maintenance.
At EC Assets, we believe performance is a function of people, not just process.
Markets reward teams that think clearly under pressure. Clarity doesn’t come from working harder. It comes from working together.
The best teams aren’t just aligned on strategy. They’re aligned on trust.
